As you enter, you are greeted with an abundance of colourful fresh blooms and wild greenery that spill from aged enamel buckets – just waiting to be transformed into bouquets and arrangements. The walls are a soft, sun-faded stone, creating an old-world charm that feels effortlessly luxurious.

FRIDA’S STORY
From farm shed to floral design house.
When Bloeme shifted its focus to weddings, a dedicated studio became essential. To bring this vision to life, Anja and her husband undertook the renovation of an old shed on their family farm in the Cape Winelands. Anja named the space FRIDA in the Winelands, inspired by Frida Kahlo – the iconic artist often depicted with flowers in her hair.
FRIDA in the Winelands evolved beyond a workspace into an expression of Anja’s artistic vision. Anja lovingly crafted a romantic floral atelier – a space where creativity and beauty could flourish. Drawing inspiration from the romance of the French and Italian countryside, she carefully curated every detail, from the selection of paint colors and furniture to the choice of plants, shaping an environment that feels both intimate and inspiring.
